Business Email Server

Full control over your organisation's email

For companies that need full control over their mail infrastructure, we offer a dedicated Business Email Server built on Axigen technology. It suits organisations that need their own configuration, their own security policies and the greatest possible independence.
Five Premium accounts come as standard, with unlimited storage, as many domains as you need and a dedicated IP address — and you add further accounts as the business grows. Setup, updates, daily backups and constant supervision of your domains’ email records are all handled by us: your own infrastructure does not need your own mail administrator.

When a business needs its own mail server

Shared infrastructure has its limits

Mailboxes on your domain work well for as long as the business fits inside standard limits and a standard configuration. Once headcount grows, further brands and domains appear, and IT starts asking about its own security and retention policies, you need an environment that can be set up around the organisation rather than around an average case.

One infrastructure for every company domain

A single server handles an unlimited number of domains — group companies, product brands, shop domains and spare domains. All of the organisation’s correspondence lands in one consistently configured environment, instead of being scattered across several services at different providers.

Your own server, your own rules

A dedicated mail server means a separate instance run solely for your organisation, with its own IP address and a configuration agreed around your requirements. Filtering policies, sending limits, archiving rules and supervision of your domain records are all settled with you and applied on your server — not on a shared environment whose rules apply to every customer at once.

We take the administration on

Full control over the configuration does not mean maintaining the server yourself. Setup, updates, monitoring and daily backups sit with us — your team says what it needs, we apply it on the server. It is the answer for companies that want their own infrastructure without hiring a mail administrator to run it.

What the Business Email Server includes

The server starts complete, with accounts, storage and security in place. You do not buy the licence, the backup and the extras separately — here is what comes as standard.

Five Premium accounts

In its basic configuration the server includes five built-in Premium accounts — with SMTP, POP3 and IMAP support, WebMail and the personal organiser (calendar, tasks, notes). That is enough to start a small team, and a base you extend with further accounts whenever you need to.

Unlimited storage

Mailboxes have no capacity limit, and the server has no ceiling imposed on the number of accounts. You do not have to estimate in advance how much space correspondence will take in two years’ time, or plan a migration to a “bigger package” when the company grows.

Unlimited number of domains

You can register any number of mail domains on the server, and each one is covered by the same supervision of its records. A new brand, a new company or a domain acquired with another business joins the existing environment instead of needing a separate service.

Dedicated IP address

Your mail goes out from an IP address assigned solely to your server. The reputation of that address depends on your own organisation’s correspondence, not on what other users of a shared platform are sending.

Daily backup of the whole environment

The backup covers not individual messages but the entire mail environment — accounts, configuration and accumulated correspondence. After a serious failure we restore the server to its state before the event, which means continuity for the whole company rather than the recovery of a single mailbox.

WebMail, calendars and mobile devices

Users work in a browser or in any email program over IMAP, POP3 and SMTP — with automatic setup in eM Client. The server supports Exchange ActiveSync, so mail, calendar and contacts synchronise instantly on phones and tablets; that feature is active on VIP accounts.
Security and deliverability across the whole infrastructure

Mail server reputation

On a dedicated server, security is not only the spam filter in front of the mailbox. It is also how the domains are configured, the reputation of the sending address, and constant supervision to catch anything in that configuration drifting out of line.

Three account types on one server — Business, Premium and VIP

You match accounts on the server to the role each person plays in the company. Every type has unlimited storage, anti-spam and antivirus protection and two-factor authentication — they differ in the tools for organising work and in sending limits.

Business account

Full email through WebMail and the SMTP, POP3 and IMAP protocols, with a 15 MB attachment limit and 30 MB per message. It suits roles where email carries day-to-day correspondence, while the calendar and teamwork happen outside the mailbox.

Premium account

Everything Business offers, plus the personal organiser — calendar, tasks, notes and a journal — higher limits (35 MB attachment, 70 MB message, 300 recipients an hour) and up to three simultaneous connections per protocol. It is the default choice for most staff, and the type we supply as the five accounts built into the server.

VIP account

The Premium account extended with shared mailboxes and folders and with Exchange ActiveSync, at the highest limits: 70 MB attachment, 140 MB message, 600 recipients an hour and up to nine simultaneous connections. Teams handling shared addresses such as office@, sales@ or support@ choose it, as do people who work mainly from a phone.

You can mix account types in any proportion on a single server — directors and sales on VIP, the team on Premium, support roles on Business.

Dedicated email infrastructure

We will match the configuration to the number of domains, the size of your team and your security requirements, and plan the move so the company keeps working throughout. As a UK provider, Smartx Technologies Ltd issues full VAT invoices, and we run the environment under ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification.

Business Email Server — frequently asked questions

Business email on your domain means accounts on our shared infrastructure. The Business Email Server is a separate instance run solely for your organisation — with a dedicated IP address, an unlimited number of domains and accounts, and a configuration agreed around your requirements. The decision usually comes when a company needs its own security policies, or handles several domains at once.

There is no limit. You can register any number of mail domains on the server, and each one is covered by supervision of its MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records.

No. We maintain the server — setup, updates, monitoring and backups sit with us, and there is always someone to contact when you need help. Your team says what it needs configured, and we apply it on the server.

Yes. We move the contents of your mailboxes from your current provider, set up the accounts and security, and plan the domain switch so correspondence carries on without a gap. The process passes unnoticed by staff and clients.

The daily backup covers the entire mail environment — accounts, configuration and accumulated correspondence — and allows the server to be restored after a serious failure.

Yes. A single server can carry Business, Premium and VIP accounts side by side in any proportion, and you can change an individual account’s type as someone’s responsibilities change.
