Layered security for business email — protection at every stage
Message encryption
with S/MIME and PGP
Every message sent through the epost.plus server can be secured with S/MIME or PGP. Even if the transmission is intercepted, the content stays unreadable. A digital signature proves the message has not been altered in transit, so the recipient knows it is exactly as you sent it. All connections to the server use SSL/TLS certificates, which greatly reduces the risk of unauthorised access.
End-to-end encryption is not reserved for the most expensive plan — S/MIME and PGP are supported on every business mailbox.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Even the strongest password can be intercepted. That is why business email at epost.plus supports two-factor authentication, with SMS verification and integration with systems such as Cisco Duo. That extra layer at sign-in means a leaked password alone does not give an intruder access to the mailbox.
Two-factor authentication is not reserved for the top plan — it comes with every Premium and VIP account, business and personal alike.
Domain reputation: SPF, DKIM and DMARC
Spoofing — impersonating someone else’s domain in order to send fake messages — is one of the most common threats in email. At epost.plus, active SPF, DKIM and DMARC policies make it far harder for anyone to send a message pretending to be your company, and let receiving servers reject the ones that try.
Daily DMARC reports give you full visibility of how your mail is being sent and received, including how it measures against your security policies. We also look after the reputation of our sending servers, so your messages are far more likely to reach the inbox rather than a spam folder. We monitor RBLs (real-time blackhole lists) to make sure our servers stay trusted.
Server-level filtering with Bitdefender
Advanced anti-spam and antivirus systems, built on Bitdefender technology, stop threats before they reach the user’s mailbox. Virus databases update automatically, keeping protection current against the newest attacks. The filtering is developed continuously to respond to new kinds of spam, phishing and malware.
Every message and every attachment passes through a multi-layered security scan, so you and your staff open the mailbox knowing the obvious threats have already been taken out.
Daily backup — continuity even after a serious failure
Security monitoring with Mail Hardener
Features of business email at epost.plus — more than an inbox
You use business email whichever way suits you. Sign in through Axigen WebMail in your browser — a full-featured web client with an intuitive interface and support for multiple languages and themes. From the Premium account upwards you can also set up any email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail) over the IMAP, POP3 or SMTP protocols. We also support Exchange ActiveSync (on the VIP plan), giving instant synchronisation of mail, calendar and contacts on mobile devices.
Full integration with eM Client is a further advantage — automatic setup through Auto-discovery gets you working in minutes rather than hours.
Organising work well takes more than email alone. That is why the Premium and VIP plans include a built-in calendar for scheduling meetings and managing events, task lists with reminders, and notes — all synchronised across devices through the CalDAV and CardDAV protocols.
You do not need to buy separate tools for managing your time — it is all in one place, integrated with your company email.

Business email — frequently asked questions
Business email at epost.plus is a service designed for companies. It gives you an address on your own domain (for example office@yourcompany.co.uk), no adverts, advanced security (S/MIME and PGP encryption, two-factor authentication, SPF, DKIM and DMARC), Bitdefender antivirus protection, unlimited storage, a daily backup and someone to contact when you need help. Free consumer mailboxes offer none of that, and they do not present your business professionally.
An address on your company domain (john@yourcompany.co.uk rather than a free webmail address) builds trust and credibility with clients and suppliers. It is your business card in every message you send. Email on your own domain also gives you full control over staff accounts, lets you manage permissions, and keeps communication running whoever comes and goes.
Our business email runs on the Axigen server — a professional, enterprise-grade communication platform used by companies and public bodies around the world. It supports the SMTP, POP3, IMAP, CalDAV, CardDAV and Exchange ActiveSync protocols, and stands out for its performance, stability under load and extensive security features.
Yes. We use layered protection: S/MIME and PGP encryption, SSL/TLS certificates on every connection, two-factor authentication (2FA with SMS or Cisco Duo), active SPF, DKIM and DMARC policies against spoofing, Bitdefender antivirus protection with automatic database updates, and a daily backup of your data. The configuration is checked regularly against independent security tests, and we hold ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification.
We support the whole migration. We move the contents of your mailboxes from your current provider, set up the accounts on your domain and check that everything works. Your email keeps running throughout, so correspondence carries on without a gap. The process is planned to pass unnoticed by staff and clients alike.
Yes. Business email at epost.plus works on any device. Use WebMail in your browser, set up any email app (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, eM Client) over IMAP or POP3, and on the VIP plan use Exchange ActiveSync as well, which gives instant synchronisation of mail, calendar and contacts on phones and tablets.
Yes. As a UK provider, Smartx Technologies Ltd issues full VAT invoices. The cost of business email is normally an allowable business expense — your accountant can confirm how it applies to you.
